Do not be chemists

Ramon

Chemistry Is a trap don't fall for It, I spend all my energies on lab work.

Also I'm like top 200 highschool students on chemistry in Mexico or something or something like that, well at least in my state I was like top 4 wich Is good enough

I'm mean there aren't much chemistry enthusiasts in México tbh, most people like more physiscs, wich I HATE, but understand why

Also I like microbiology better, having my own bacterial cultures Is great, also biochemical tests might be tedious but they are like really appealing to the eyes

Haven't been able to draw fue to school btw, still I've only been drawing furries wich is fine but I'm not able to animate them

waltuh, we need to cook

It's an amazing work area

It's just a really big field and some things might be really difficult for most people, also depends a lot on teachers, most teachers in the chemical field (I'm not on college but in highschool) most are chemical engineers and one is a biochemist that teaches microbiology, I'm supposed to be a chemical laboratorist technician ending in like a year or so, and I can really say like chemistry Is amazing it's just not for everyone, lab work is hard and usually takes a long time, there are nice reactions, yes, but there Is a lot of stress, deadlines, projects, procedures, rules, normativity you have to learn, math and also I doubt anyone likes having a gas mask for longer than an hour.

That’s crazy, not gonna lie. My friend’s mother works as a scientist for skin care products in my city, and they say it’s a lot of like looking at little things.

@JASHKIE

actually, yeah, they're totally right, everything is based on small details, for example slight variations on color of a substance may show a different concentration of it or even contamination, chemistry also involves analysing light waves, there's a technique dedicated to that called spectrophotometry.

Also we're having a make up analysis class in the next year iirc

And also we're making microbiological analysis to old lipstick next week lol.

@Ramon

That’s so cool, dawg. I just got out of high school, which I’m super glad to be done with, but it sounds like your school is doing crazy stuff.

So yeah chemistry is more than just mixing things that can give you cancer at some point.

Is also analysing how much of that cancer indusing substances you have.

How pure they are.

The yield of the reaction's product

Quantum chemistry (won't elaborate)

Biochem (hell for what i've been told)

and electrons doing whatever they want for no particular reason.

@JASHKIE

It surely is doing something crazy (driving us crazy) we practically have 17 hours of chem in a week scattered in 3 classes and it's not enough so sometimes we have to stay on extra hours untill 8 pm (we enter at 7 am at school) but we actually learn a lot of how to actually work on a lab, and I also learns I like the smell of chloroform... yeah don't recommend smelling it, so yeah, we may be overwork but... there's nothing else to add, we are actually overworked lol.

@Ramon

The most we did was just take early college classes. That’s like… wow.

@JASHKIE

yeah, that's good enough for most people, since I'm looking forward to studying something chemistry related in a year, it's good for me, but for a normal student, learning all that might just be a loss of time like a serious one
