So my friend Val just sent me a photo showing where him mom tried to break her door down. Her mom is also an alcoholic and is just not a good person in general. I wanna help but I don’t know if I can tell my mom because she’s friends with her mom, and I don’t wanna call CPS because then she would have to live with her dad. If yall got any advice I’d appreciate it 🫩✌🏻

the best thing to do will be to tell your mum, she could handle it way better than anyone else that you can easily confide in cause they’re already friends, it won’t escalate too much

try to aim for an outcome that results In your friend being with neither parents legally

You’ve got proof that the mother can’t take care of her you just need evidence that the father can’t either because the law probably requires it in order to take her away from both

I’d try and record/capture a bit more as well if I was your friend to be safe when it comes to evidence against her mom

It seems like she already is living with a singular parent tbh

And if not then whoever’s with her mother doesn’t seem to be helping the situation

I'd say tell your mom because she's an actual adult, and can handle it a lot better

I think my friend doesn't mind living with her dad. He's actually trying to get custody of her, he just seems kinda strict so I was a little worried (also he lives far away)

dont call cps, they dont do anything. people who end up in those homes usually run away and/or go homeless after 18
