"Pixel art" animations no longer exist

Dan

Hello!

The pixel art mode was originally created to work around an annoying limitation of playing videos in web pages. When videos are displayed larger than their original size, the pixels become blurry.

The pixel art mode used the gif format instead, which can display with sharp pixels.

After a lot of work, I have added a new animation format which does not have the blurry pixels limitation.

The new format is enabled now for all newly saved animations. I need to figure out a way to re-encode all the old animations (and that's a lot 😅)

@so_cool_man - if you re-save that, it'll get re-encoded and look all beautifully pixely again.

I'm trying to think of a way of doing that automatically, but there are a LOT of images to process.

Ah no, there is new dithering now. I'll have a think about the quality settings.

I need to test out the best quality/file size balance.

Still looks better than .gif though

this makes me a lil sad the pixel art was nice :c
