The Animator

To this day I have no idea why people open up to others on the internet

As you can tell I’ve kept my mental state really private on this site and at the end of the day I think it’s best for me

Most people here are kids, most people here just want to animate - not be someone’s therapist, and everyone here I don’t actually know

Even irl it’s very hard to open up, sometimes I make stuff up on the spot just to satisfy curiosity and get my friends and family off my ass and that’s If "I’m alright" doesn’t already work (and truthfully everything is alright, I’m just mentally unorthodox sometimes)

In reality there is no "I’m here if you need me" online because of the costs of sudden vulnerability after years of nonchalance. it DOES make people uncomfortable and I’ve got the balls to admit that

If you’re naturally a bright emotional person and you’ve got irl people on here then that might not be the case but if you come here off your own circumstances like me then it’s unfortunately not possible

I don’t think I’ve ever even made an animation that slightly suggests instability, it’s a waste of time for me

Tldr there’s nothing to open up about but at the end of the day no matter how long I’ve been here I still don’t know nobody here beyond their username and it’s uncomfy/not worth it to open up under those circumstances imo

True. I mean I’ve never opened up either. I think opening up to a bunch of random people, especially on a site for kids, just isn’t really the right time OR place. I mean your own mental state and your own issues are YOUR own problems. No hate to those who do it, just stating my opinion

I don’t think that what my case was was very much opening up, I think it was just of a warning more. Other than that o dont think I’ve opened up from little to none. At least not that I remember

when I see people on this site say they wanna kill themselves, I get visibly frustrated, considering that this is a site for animating and connecting to others online, not a trauma dump vent fest.

Also, I don’t necessarily hate or dislike animators that do this, but I really hate vent ANIMATIONS. Like bro, this isn’t a site to vent on, keep your feelings to yourself and talk to someone better than a bunch of uneducated teenagers

I agree with this, this is a site to animate and have fun and have cool conversations not to vent
