The infection is a sentient entity, it acts like a hive mind. it infects people to control, how long the infection takes depends on how much you contact, your strength, and your current state of being physically and mentally. once fully infected there are three outcomes, you are lost to the infection, mindless, acting on instincts or orders. you let the infection take over, keeping a twisted version of your conscious. you resist, causing the infection to take longer, but it will respond back to your resistance, ultimately making you a variant with unique features separate from the infection.

(this is how I decided to explain you guys having vastly different infection designs that don't follow color schemes.)

the infection will also communicate to convince you to let it infect you.

Question regarding the infection what if you are infected in the final stage but you keep a some what conscious but still dangerous to be near can u make a stim to keep shred of humanity or stickmanity

(not a cure just to make the process slower)

I mean you are infected your body is twisted or whatever bro you still have enough consciousness to talk but the vocabulary is very limited and your In constant pain
