episode 10

ive discovered something after 7 years of animation

whats holding me back isnt weeks months or even difficulty

its frame count

if the site could perfectly handle even a thousand or more frames of an animation, episode episode 8, 9, and maybe even 10 couldve been all in one episode and that wouldve taken only about a month

anyway now that this is the final episode of the series (probably) im gonna say a few things

first of all finally, ive taken 5 long breaks in total throughout this whole series which is why its almost 5 years old

obviously my final big animated project so i feel a lot of weight coming off my back

also random but the whole completed series should be about half an hour long in total which is crazy for a TA series imo. season 2 is almost twice as long as season 1 so big improvement there

now between s2 ep 6 and s2 ep 7 there was kind of a small leap in time so if im feeling like it i might make an episode 6.5

also another thing - this is a bit off topic but the 2 halloween specials ive made is canon to the corrupt shards timeline, the first one takes place right after the end of season 1, and the second one takes place right after the end of s2 ep 6

anyway slightly on topic, i dont actually like season 1. i think the dialogue was random and corny and a lot of events were pretty baseless or werent expanded upon one bit (such as white destroying australia or the orbs) the animation was also just a bit worse

if i ever feel incredibly ambitious i might remake a couple of season 1 episodes in the future but thatll probably be after project outernet is done

I cannot tell you how many month long projects I've lost due to site glitches and the frame count.

In my 5 total years on this site, I've made one animation that passed 1000 frames, and it was lost to a glitch and the limit of frames.

I've asked Dan to improve this but honestly I don't know where he is at this point

can relate (partially)

the original cs s2 ep 8 was made at around 2025 end of summer but i had accidentally deleted it

i genuinely almost quit animating on the spot because of that

if youre feeling clever then id put a group of private animations into a comic, and call it a full episode

the site im 99% sure needs monthly payment to keep up so im sure dan is still working on it

best case scenario hes just been working on the issue and maybe a couple more features this whole time but we'll just have to wait

I have been making a practice of saving my animations a lot more, and that does act as a pretty good back up plan if something glitches
