The night I stayed up too late

One night I couldn’t sleep, so I stayed up far later than I should have, just sitting by the window and staring at the quiet street below. The lamps cast pools of light that seemed to make shadows move differently, and I started noticing tiny things I’d never really seen before, like the way a single leaf clung to a branch or how the wind made the trash cans rattle just enough to sound like soft music. My thoughts bounced between random memories, dreams I had forgotten, and ideas that probably made no sense, but somehow it all felt important while I was there. By the time I finally lay down, the night felt longer than usual, like I had lived an extra little day within the same one, and even though I was tired, I felt awake in a way that only strange, quiet nights can make you feel.

Did you also stay up late typing all of these threads
