The Animator

Rain is strange because it can make everything look different even if nothing really changed the sky turns gray and heavy and you can hear the drops hitting the ground or the roof or the leaves above you and it makes a sound that is kind of soft but kind of loud at the same time and it smells different like dirt and air and sometimes it makes you think about things you forgot or never really noticed before and people walk with umbrellas or run and get wet anyway and some sit by windows just watching and thinking about stuff they dont say out loud and puddles appear and reflect everything around them and sometimes you jump in them or skip over them or just stare and wonder why water falling from the sky can feel like both annoying and comforting at the same time and you feel connected to everything else that is getting wet even if you dont know why and after a while the rain stops or slows down and the world looks shiny and clean and you realize a little bit of time passed but it felt like a long moment full of small things that mattered somehow.
