Enemy Mechanics for IoBB Chapter 2: A Full List
Well, I'm going to list the mechanics of every enemy in the entirety of IoBB (Investigators of Bikini Bottom) Chapter 2. I cannot tell you how much variety the enemies have in the game and it's, in my opinion, what makes the enemies an enjoyable cast to avoid.
So, first up, we got Blobamus. This is an enemy you encounter in the level labeled "SpongeBob's Basement", which is the first level in the game. His mechanics are pretty simple; he'll patrol the basement looking for you and you of course have to avoid him. The thing is, though, Blobamus can't see very well in the dark and can only spot you very well in bright areas. Typically what you'd want to do is stick to dark areas to go unnoticed by him. However, if he sees you, you're pretty much dead after that. If you get too far away from him, he'll start to cover your screen in corrupted slime, practically making you blind and more vulnerable to his attacks. Forgot to mention; for most enemies, you'll want to stay out of their line of sight, as the enemies usually have special abilities that can finish you off very easily even if you do manage to outrun the enemy. The enemies only start to get more complex from here.
If you want to, I'd recommend listing thoughts on the enemies. I think there's a total of about 20-50 different enemy types total in the entirety of Chapter 2, the cast is so large because of there being 28 levels in the game and that allows for a lot of variety in the enemies that you meet.
Also, another thing, enemies do have abilities to help find the player even while patrolling.
