well plots of most shows dont typically start in the first 2 episodes, it probably takes a while for the overall narrative to be more innovative, if you know what i mean.

@Jle3v the blue thing that was in episode 2 shot red with the fireball and the fire ball went through the portal to where they travel in different levels of the backrooms, and on episode 3 it does not follow up to the story were red and black goes through the portal

ok, so what im getting at, is that the blue thing will hit red/black idk i think both, and the fireball threw them into the portal?

episode 3 is when they go through the traveling dimension (The purple place ) red is hurt from when that blue thing shot red in the chest and they travel to a level you can choice but it can't be the common backroom level yet, and black and red talk for awhile then it says to be continued E3. E4 is when they come across a monster (you can make one if you want that is your own design ) and the get chases then a orange guy pops out of the monster they come across ( the orange guy is a good guy) that it says to be continued. @Jle3v
