Forgotten Track 1

It took a few days to settle in. Me and my mother, in the little town where my family stayed. Technically, it's just my grandpa, but he wrote a will leaving all his land and money to me and my mom (mostly me). I was anxious, because of everything being taken away from me. But also eager, with a feeling of a fresh start. No pressure. Now we are moving to a city with a low population, so a lot of things are going to have to change. The sun started to set, and we were still driving for a few more hours, so I fell asleep. I had a nightmare. Me running through the underbrush and the trees. The woods. A tall, distorted creature with arms longer than it, A sing-song voice trailing behind me, coming from everywhere and nowhere at the same time. I saw a building with a path to the city, blocked off from a wall, taller than any I've seen. A timer in bright blue lights counted down the seconds. Minutes. Hours. Days. It had 12...11...10 seconds left, and I saw the tall monster look down unto me, 6...5...4...3...2...1...-I saw its jaw open, blood running down its mouth, from the cuts it made trying to spread its gaping maw that wide. In a quick, swift movement, it reached down, and ate me.

I woke up that morning, in the car passenger's side. As if in sync, a sign passed by, "Welcome to meltown".

I woke up, gasping for air "The hell is up with you?" My mom still keeping her eyes on the road. "Nothing". "Did you like your beauty rest," I yawned. "We're here?" She pulled over a building, familiar to the one in my dream. "Getch'r Stuff. I don't want to clean up the car. I'm gonna sleep like a rock when we get there." We took a few shots, from people without any feature in their faces. The only person who stood out, was a man named Mely. He seemed extra tall, for a town known for being short. Something about him scared me. He gave me the last shot, which stung, and formed a black serial code on my arm, but I didn't think too much of it. Mely never talked. He just stared, eyes longing for something. Something Unnatural.
