making a quick character design for Tamatoa, the giant crab from Moana. He's honestly one of my favorite disney villains, partially because he looks cool, and partially because his intentions could be summed up like "you wish you were as awesome and good looking as me now I shall eat you".

I'm turning him into a girl because I'm just better at drawing ladies than guys. will post some drawings later but the gist of it is simple video game armor, cape with a shiny round jewel as a clasp, super big high ponytail, and she looks early 30s to 40s. I need help deciding color schemes.

option 1- dull purple armor with barnacles n stuff on it and a shiny golden cape, maybe with some jewels woven in there too. This is good since it's similar to the way the movie depicted the crab, purple-ish body and huge glittering shell/cape.

option 2- well maintained, polished gold armor with old purple cape. I like this since it seems a little more realistic. Purple capes also used to be a symbol of wealth since vibrant purple dye was hard to find, and solid gold armor is just showing off (which Tamatoa definitely is.)
