The Animator

There’s someone that unfortunately sits next to me in my band, and they (in my opinion) SUCK. I don’t know how they survived this many months on alto saxophone without even knowing what slurs, phrasing, frigging sharps and flats are. I’m not even the greatest at alto, but at least I can do the darn eight skips in the warmup! Even with a stuffy nose and/or sore throat I can separate the notes properly like our frigging conductor told us to!

More coming later (you’re welcome) I need to do something for a moment.

OH MY GOD I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM

Music Craft isn't a much loved subject in my school and so there are only 10 of us in this class

There's this girl who pretends to know how to use every instrument and she went to the drummer and told her that the best way to play the drums is when your arms are always crossed.

She also thought I was really good at the bass guitar and said "woaaaa can you play normal guitar too?"

I responded with "do you mean acoustic?"

and she responded with "no, normal guitar!"

...

Apparently, when we had a contest to decide the section leader- basically, the boss of your instrument, like flute, clarinet, brass, etc.- they got a 9.5 when the section leader got a well-deserved 10. Uh-huh, I bet you did.

They also like to tilt my music stand towards them and pull out MY fingering page for no apparent reason besides “lol I do what I want with your stuff”. You have your own and you know that.

This will become my rant thread for future ramblings, so it might pop up every now and then.

Oh yes, one more complaint:

They apparently have been playing alto sax since 4th grade yet still don’t know the fingerings for too many notes. Shut the f-
