1: Is there an attack you can get besides spells, or another way to ward off things trying to hurt you?

2: What are those big black helicopter centipedes called?

for krills, there is only a spell that can make u invincible to them for 1 minute, but it is very expensive, for crabs, if you deep call (hold on your character) it can stun them and knock them over

Krills! or dark dragons

Also to add to the first question, other than those 2 things there is no attack unfortunately, but there are ways to dodge krills, theres quite a few yt videos on them
