Just pushed out a new release. As usual, please refresh to see it.

You can now change your username. With some caveats:

- If you change your username, you cannot change it again for 30 days.

- You cannot change your username to a name used by anyone else - even if they have changed their name since.

- Your previous usernames will be shown on your studio page.

To change your username, go to "My account" in the user menu in the top right.

If you simply change the letter casing of your username, it won’t trigger the 30 day wait

I don’t know to be honest, I only passively use YouTube

I'll probably end up using the name on my Alt account. Though, that does leave me wondering if changing your username affects @-ing someone

Like, if I changed @Celeste to something different, would the @ still work?

There is no display name. It will immediately change your username.

Therefore, you will then use the new username for signing in etc.

@ mentions will automatically point to the new username.
