whenever my parents start talking in the living room while i'm sleeping i immediately wake up

however

when literal ambulance sirens are outside my apartment, people rushing into my home and running right in front of my bedroom door, thudding and dropping sounds, vomiting, loud talking, window opening sounds, and crying sounds are everywhere, I somehow don't wake up???

(for context, my dad got reallyyyyy sick and the ambulance came. he's alright and safe at home though)
