In pre-k, I had a crush on a guy named Alex. During my time in pre-k, I had a speaking problem so I went to therapy for a while and I got better (gosh I loved it so much).

I eventually started talking to Alex a lot (more like tried to) and I tried to sit next to him every chance I got, and even threw tantrums because of it.

One day, I was sleeping in my parents’ room and I woke up to my dad ironing (he does it on their bed and dw he’s extra careful). I got burnt by the iron really bad on my left arm, but I was somehow okay. Once I got to school, we did stuff and we were sitting on the giant mat in the room. I was sitting next to Alex, but then my teacher saw the giant burn on my arm and asked me to go into this tiny room and she asked me questions about my arm (and you know, it was a pure accident and was mostly my fault for messing with my dad. I told her I was okay though).

When I went back to the mat, my seat was taken by a guy, and let’s call him Ta. I made a big deal out of it and started screaming “You took my seat next to Alex! 😡😡”. Long story short, I sat in the back of class and cried. And I pushed/kicked him. I’m so sorry Ta.

Anyhoots fast forward to the end of the year, I’m becoming friends with Alex, and I love him a lot more.

On the last day of school, we sat next to each other and he said, and I QUOTE, “y’know [Starry], you’re pretty cute and funny”. My heart exploded. I told him that I thought he was cute too and we hugged.

We stood next to each other on our graduation stage thing, and god, it was amazing.

Alex, if you’re out there, I moved and you’re never going to see me again, but I like you as a friend now. I miss you and Alexis :)
