I was sitting down on the couch in the living room and my mom sat down next to me {but she was on the opposite side of the couch} because she was doing bills or something on the computer

She looked at me and asked me what my pronouns are. I didn't really know how to respond so I just said "she/her" instead of "she/they" but-

I DIDN'T KNOW SHE KNEW ABOUT THE PRONOUN STUFF. It made me kinda happy actually ^^'

I said that some people at school actually asked for pronouns and I thought that was pretty cool and she just said that that's what's in everybody's world now.

Kind of a buzzkill of a response to me but still

she actually knows about prefered names and pronounsss ugh that makes me feel a bit happy ngl
