but srsly what is the 4th of july, what does it celebrate and what takes place?

I've seen a lot of joyful drawings of fireworks and stuff and it looks so fun :0

This is my first time ever hearing about the 4th of july =w=w=w=w=

@sharkloid the of 4th July is when we celebrate the day the Americans defeated the Britain army in war, and the dat America was born.

A day where we launch tiny nukes in a can up into the sky to dab on England over something that happened over 2 centuries ago

Fun fact: America didn’t beat the British army until October 19, 1781 at the Siege of Yorktown. July 4 is when we issued the Declaration of Independence.

The Declaration was made in the year 1776
