i looked after a bee for the first time
wolfy711not me writing a massive post about caring for a bumblebee and then my laptop blue screening on me
anyways, there was a bumblebee that had been in the garden since yesterday and they were rlly unresponsive and it looked like it was going to rain so i brought them in. they had mites on them so i had to flick them off with a paintbrush. i put a lot of hay, flowers (especially lilacs) and some sugar water into my hamster carrier as a little enclosure for the bee (i usually only use the carrier for sick or shocked animals); however the bee wasnt drinking the water so i put small droplets on the flowers and the bumblebee seemed to drink it up like that
theyve been resting for 9 hours in their little enclosure, being checked up on every hour to top up on water droplets and just making sure they hadnt straight up died; i started hearing buzzing so i got up and it was the lil bumblebee trying to fly so i opened their enclosure, picked them up and let them fly off out of my window
ill miss my lil bumble friend
