sparkyyYou know how some people are like, "OMG! You're so awesome, can we be friends??"
And I'm saying this from the artist point of view so-
Some people just wanna be friends because of how good you draw. Barely ever personality. (i don't really do this, if i'm gonna be completely honest. I like you for who you are and then on the side, I love your art but as a separate person)
I know this is kinda obvious but don't ask to be friends with someone just because of how much you like their art (I feel like this happens a whole lot with Shark-). Just focus on the person behind the art, because THAT's your friend. This also has been stated multiple times already but I was just thinking about it so here I am typing it out.
Oh and also very important;
Don't try to become friends with someone just because they're popular. Like if I was talking to Starry or sum and I just wanted to be friendos with her because her art gets lots of views and her artstyle is ✨✨ (it really is tho) then that's just not the best thing.
I like her for who she is and how kind she is, she's funny as heck, and d a n g a n r o n p a but that last part's not my point
You should have gotten my point now
sparkyyThank you for coming to my TED talk

StarryNeptuneExactly.
I literally spent 5 minutes trying to find a way to elaborate but I can't lmao-
But basically, don't like someone because of a skill, like them for their personality.
For example, on Scratch, so many people are asking a famous artist to follow them because she's a popular artist. It's obvious why they're doing it too. They'd get popular, views, etc., etc. It's really sad to me.
