I-Ready Rant

Prodigy started off fun, then money got involved.
StarryNeptuneYep... Lemme copy & paste the doc:
Prodigy game (or just prodigy) is fine. It has pros and cons, having to do with how it introduces itself and updates to the game. First, let’s start off with what Prodigy is. Prodigy is an educational math game. It revolves around wizards fighting monsters enslaved by the Puppet Master, the main bad guy in Prodigy. The Puppet Master takes a gem, breaks it into pieces and spreads it around the Prodigy world. You have to find all of the shards by completing quests in a certain area(s).
I’m going to start off with the thing that hurts me most. MEMBERSHIP. Membership is what makes Prodigy a pay to win. 80% of what’s in game is unreachable to non-members. They (members) have just about everything. Gear for their wizard, evolving pets (when you catch the monsters the Puppet Master enslaved, they become your pet), certain areas, their own cloud to float on, more exp, and more. Advertising for membership is CONSTANTLY being rammed into children’s faces (by constantly, I mean every minute.) which is horrible. I could write an entirely new article about why ads are horrible. They make the children feel upset because just about everything has to be paid for. It’s worse when you find out how much membership is. $8.49 per month doesn’t sound bad, BUT, you’ll be spending $59.88 per year. Sorry that the average family has to buy food and pay rent (what-). You’ll probably create a monster that’ll stare at a screen 24/7 playing a math game. The child will probably turn into some sort of brat.
Prodigy claims that the membership will help engage the child. Actually, here are their words:
Motivate math with a premium membership! Premium members unlock extra gear, exclusive game areas, and cool in-game rewards that motivate your child to spend more time practicing math!
Lies. Back in 4th grade, my bullies got membership and made fun of everyone who didn’t. They called me poor and stupid. At the time, we were introduced to prodigy and played it like..
StarryNeptunewe were introduced to prodigy and played it like maniacs. Eventually, we ALL let go or didn’t play it often. Prodigy was kind of shoved down our throat (like I-ready), but we were fine with it because we actually liked prodigy and trying to beat the heck out of each other. We talked about it often and got bullied because our character was weak, ugly, or had bad pets.
Prodigy is actually educational and fun. Sure, you continuously bumped into monsters (Every second) and the battles between them are long-ish and tedious. I had good memories from when I started in late 2018. The question would either be too hard, too easy, or a lot of the time, just right. You can friend people, talk to them (chat is limited and child-friendly), battle them, visit their house, and all sorts of stuff.
When I started Prodigy in early September of 2018, it was the best thing ever. The art for the monsters were great, the animation, the music, the areas, was MAGICAL. You had 8 spells to cast on monsters (VARIETY), and it was the best. I remember spending hours in front of the large computer playing this game, watching the sun fall down. I joined prodigy after my friend, basically before everyone else in the class. We went to the school library one day and my teacher got everyone onto Prodigy. I had an account, so I started playing, and bumped into a Trip Trop (monster). I wasn’t fond of the art of it, but I regret now and love it. I was going to use a spell, but Noot, a guy who is basically your assistant, explains that there is a new way to battle. There was a spellbook, with only 4 spells, and it was whack. I told the girl next to me that this wasn’t what it was before, and I hated it.
There's more, but no.
