I've only been here for like a month, but I'm not really thinkING it is dead...

I wouldn't say dead I would just say unintroduced to the younger generations. I've been here since 2019 and most of us either forgot or grew into actual animating websites. tho my school has everything but this blocked so I came back with this new account.

It feels like every year more and more people here disappear, and theres never enough new people to fill the void they left behind. Although we should be greatful that we even have a community like this in the first place.

It's not dead really just the attention spans of new gens cant keep up with drawing a basic animation, more or less drawing a straight line.

It was soooo much more populated in 2020, when people wanted to experiment with animating and digital art... I used to be on TA all the time to avoid doing schoolwork during COVID, but since it's over, people have grown up, moved on, or found alternatives. In my case, I've just had less time to draw (and especially animate), and when I do, it's either traditionally or with ibis paint/procreate. I still come back because of the community and because drawing with the pencil brush on this site makes me a better artist for some reason 😅

Anyway, I'm grateful for what we have now, and I hope more people flock to TA soon :p

uhh idk i appeared there 5 month ago or smth cuz toonio (the website i was on) went into archive mode

and even with that im not always there cuz i still animate on toonio since it has more features (like adding sound to your animations) even though you cant upload the animations you do there on the website

i rememember like 3 years ago when i would log on and everyone else would be online, it was so fun experimenting with art and making friends but sadly it doesn't happen anymore. this and magma are like my main drawing websites since i cant use procreate rn
