I do have advice for this type of stuff, and for the most part, all I can say is:

At least try to talk to someone, like say hi to an old guy walking by on the street, or saying thank you when holding the door for someone. Eventually, you get the hang of it and you'll be able to talk to anyone. (Of course, you might feel anxious still, but it gets better.)

I'm just naturally social and extroverted but I'm terrible at keeping conversations from drying out so there's that

Someone said "see you later" to me

And I replied with "thank you."
