do you guys have any advice for coloring?
I usually just think of a color that'll go well with the drawing (For example if I'm drawing an edgy cupid, I'd probably be using a dark purple) and then use colors that go well with it (Like lighter shades of purple, hints of white, black, etc). Lel I hope this is helpful
use fill tool
you're older than me so you probably already learned everything im about to say assuming you'll even read thisssss
i use fill tool for base color owo
and then i pick a slightly darker(if the base was a cool color, i pick a warm color, aNd vICe vErsA)color owo

OH SHOOT OF COURSE‼️
I was gonna give actual advice earlier today, but I completely forgot to 😭
For most of my art, I use colors that are somewhat similar for the main part (ex: dull warm colors)
And then if I feel like it, I’ll use colors that are the opposite of the ones I’m using for smaller details and the background, maybe (ex: bright cool colors)
And for shading, I block everything out, kinda. Like, I’ll draw lines for where I want to shade, and then use a somewhat light color to color it in. And if I want to, a darker color that’s just a little to the left or right of the color I’m using on the color wheel (ex: base color is yellow, and using a slightly darker orange and/or red for shading). It makes things easier to figure out for me!
And I love taking a color, lowering the opacity (to like, 5%) and then putting it over the drawing on another layer. It doesn’t do much, but it makes the colors kinda harmonize. One of my favorite colors are yellow, so I use yellow a lot for this kind of thing (reds/pinks also work as well, but you should experiment with it ^^)
(And cough cough learning color theory and getting the hang of it helped me so much, but im sure you already know about it, heh. It’s also really helpful to study other people’s art and try to see how they color and stuff, and apply it to your own art <3)
