I spelled that wrong-

The story of why the sould looks so different is a bit long. This is the sould of a human named "Ava". She was an expriement made by the great Doctor Alphys. She was created to test out human "Detetremination", "Courage", "Patience", and others. But the expriment failed, making her soul split in half. They other half is just a filler so she doesnt die easilier while in battle. But the other soul peice formed its own vessel, and turned evil. They called the corrupted human, "Mia". For Ava's full power to be unleashed, she has to let Mia in charage, possing her, and it is very dangerous. That's pretty much her whole story :)
