To make this actually, somewhat make sense, and canon, this takes place after DVTA.

PAM had gotten hit by Dan, by a pretty big energy blast that took him out the fight, he woke up AFTER everyone had fought Dan.

And during the time he was knocked out, his lil blue eye had transferred the blast's energy and kinetic force towards itself, in which made PAM alive and well.

It costs him his sanity, and in which reversed all his ideals and behavior, and increased his IQ.

Ok great, that should work, but this image is still non-canon, but that'll come later.
