basically:

proto is a shapeshifter - he's very good at it, he can pretty much become anything he imagines, what you saw there was just one of the many forms he can take

spoinko was stuck in his own subconscious, dreaming a reality where hed escaped, this leaves his physical body limp and defenseless. proto takes this opportunity to basically eat him (this is shown through spoinko gradually bleeding from more and more body parts)

for purple, im purposely being vague about his actual intentions, but what you saw there was a fragment of dan's power collected from one of his attacks in another timeline. im sure you can piece together somewhat what he wants with PAM

and PAMs eyes will randomly change, dont let it distract you

Using brute force to win a domain clash should DEFINETLY leave proto open like a helpless child especially since it takes a lot of energy to open a domain, not to mention the technique exhaustion.
